To request a book or article through interlibrary loan, you must first register for an account. It is important to provide your UNO email address, and correct mailing address so that we can quickly deliver materials to you when they arrive.
Each time you log on to ILLiad to place a request, you will be asked for your username and password.
Your username and password can be anything you like, just make sure to make your username something you will remember, and follow good security practices when creating your password.
Important Copyright Information
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of articles or other reproductions of copyrighted materials.
Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish an article or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that
the article or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research". If a user makes a request for, or later uses, an article
or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use", that user may be liable for copyright infringement.
This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
You are financially responsible for any interlibrary loan items that you check out from the library. While you will not be charged overdue fines for overdue interlibrary loan items, you are responsible for any fines or replacement costs imposed by the lending library.
By registering for an ILLiad account, you acknowledge and agree to all of the terms and conditions above.
